Matous Construction, Ltd. has been serving customers since 1993. We are committed to constructing the highest quality water and wastewater treatment plants to our clients.

Experienced professionals make up Matous Construction, Ltd. Our team of professionals specialize in water and wastewater treatment plants. This vast amount of knowledge and experience allows us to offer valuable engineering ideas and solutions at any point in the construction process.

Our expert staff boasts more than 100 years of combined experience in the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants. Our focus is only on water and wastewater. Therefore, we are always kept abreast of the latest technology, means and methods to stay on the cutting edge of our industry.

Our company has successfully completed many fast-tracked Design - Build Projects. The Design - Build Projects delivery system provides a vehicle to construct a project in a fraction of the time that it normally takes with the conventional Design-Bid-Build method of delivery.

Our expert Project Managers offer many cost saving ideas that allow the project to come in under budget and ahead of schedule. Our team will work with design professionals to insure the project complies with state and federal regulations.
Concerning project completion and budgets, we pride ourselves for successfully completing all of our jobs on time and within budget.

Bruce Matous was raised in the construction business by Lee Roy Psencik. He worked for Mr. Psencik as a pipe layer / laborer in the summers while still in high school. Bruce worked his way through college while obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

At Matous Construction, Bruce is CEO and serves as a Senior Project Manager and Estimator. He visits jobsites often to obtain a close look at job progress. He continues to develop means and methods for constructing projects in a safe manner as well as on time and under budget.

Bruce graduated from Texas State Technical College with a degree in Civil Engineering. Bruce has served on many charitable boards including Holy Trinity Catholic High School, St. Vincent de Paul Society, The Robert S. Love Foundation (Supprting Cancer Research), and Eagles Wings Youth Retreat Center. Bruce is married to Ann and together they have five children. In their spare time, Bruce and Ann enjoy their children, Texas A&M football games, and spend time along the Texas Coast. They are members of St. Luke's Catholic Church.

Don R. Schuch

Senior Project Manager, Co-Founder
Don Schuch was raised in the construction business by Clyde Smith. Mr. Smith was the founder and owner of Water Construction back in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Don worked his way through the University of Texas at Water Construction. While at Texas, Don earned a degree in Civil Engineering.

Don is co-founder of Matous Construction and currently serves at President. Don also serves as the Chief Estimator and is a Senior Project Manager. Don's 35+ years of experience make him a very valuable part of our team.

Don was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and currently lives in South Austin with his wife Sandy, and their two sons. Don owns a ranch in South Texas and spends most of his free time working on his ranch. Don is considered a big game hunter and has made several trips to various parts of Africa hunting. He also loves saltwater fishing and watching his youngest son play collegiate baseball.

William M. Beach

Vice President, Co-Founder
Willie Beach was raised in the construction business by his dad, Alan R. Beach. Alan was a long time superintendent of Psencik Construction. Willie traveled to jobsites with his dad at a very early age.

Willie could run a backhoe before his feet could reach the pedals. He is a certified welder and understands every aspect of constructing a water or wastewater plant.

Willie is co-founder of Matous Construction and serves as Vice President of Operations. His is OSHA 30 Hour Certified and serves as project superintendent on our larger projects. Willie is a hands on superindendent and is on a jobsite every day.

Willie lives at Lake Belton and enjoys hunting and fishing.

Blake Pitts

President
Blake Pitts joined Matous Construction in 2006 after graduating from Texas A&M University where he received a degree in Construction Science. He graduated No. 1 in his class in the School of Architecture. He currently serves as Project Manager on our larger construction projects.

His detail oriented approach to managing a project ensures the project to be delivered on time and under budget.

Blake lives in Temple with his wife Jennifer and their three children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Michael L. Psencik

Project Manager
Mike Psencik is the son of the late Lee Roy Psencik. Mike was raised in the business by one of the best businessmen in the industry. He has taken after his father in many ways ... he takes a very systematic approach as an estimator and project manager.

Mike Psencik is the son of the late Lee Roy Psencik. Mike was raised in the business by one of the best businessmen in the industry. He has taken after his father in many ways ... he takes a very systematic approach as an estimator and project manager. Mike has a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Technology from Texas State Technical College.

Mike currently serves as Vice President of Matous Construction. He typically manages our smaller projects. He is very detail-oriented and provides 25 years experience to his projects. Mike visits his jobsites weekly and is well liked by owners, engineers, and plant operators.

Mike lives in Temple with his wife Cari. They enjoy spending time with their children and visiting Texas wineries.

John T. Yanez, Jr.

Vice President of Field Operations
John Yanez was raised in the construction business by his dad and uncle and was operating backhoes at a very young age. John currently serves as Vice President of Field Operations and is a project superintendent on our larger projects.

John Yanez was raised in the construction business by his dad and uncle and was operating backhoes at a very young age. John currently serves as Vice President of Field Operations and is a project superintendent on our larger projects.

John is an expert at modifying large water and wastewater treatment plants ... all while they are in operation. He understands complex process equipment and enjoys working with plant operators on the front lines.

John lives in Troy and enjoys his grandchildren and cooking out for friends and family.

Jessica L. Bozon, CPA

Chief Financial Officer
Jessica handles the financial and accounting side of the business and assists our project managers and estimating team. Jessica graduated from Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Science in finance. She worked in public accounting for 10 years prior to joining our Company in June 2020. 

Jessica and her husband Brandon have two young children. They enjoy spending down time with family and friends whenever possible. 

Jessica handles the financial and accounting side of the business and assists our project managers and estimating team.

Jessica graduated from Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Master of Science in finance. She worked in public accounting for 10 years prior to joining our Company in June 2020.

Jessica and her husband Brandon have two young children. They enjoy spending down time with family and friends whenever possible.

Andrew Roberts, P.E.

Project Manager
Andrew serves as Project Manager and Estimator for Matous Construction. Andrew is a 2006 Graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Andrew is a Registered Professional Engineer. Andrew has a strong background in Civil Engineering. Andrew is very detailed oriented in scheduling and managing projects.

Andrew serves as Project Manager and Estimator for Matous Construction. Andrew is a 2006 Graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Andrew is a Registered Professional Engineer. Andrew has a strong background in Civil Engineering. Andrew is very detailed oriented in scheduling and managing projects.

Andrew is married to Kerri and they have 4 beautiful children. Andrew is active in church and likes to go for an early morning run before he starts each day.
