  • Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant Headworks Improvements

  • Hornsby Bend Ammonia Removal Facility And Drainage Improvements

    Project Description: The anaerobic digestion process to treat wastewater sludge produces a side stream with high ammonia and nitrogen concentrations. This side stream flow is from the Dewatering Facility which currently discharges directly to the on-site pond system. To treat this high strength ammonia and to meet environmental regulatory requirements a new on-site Ammonia Removal Facility is required. It is projected that this facility will significantly reduce the high ammonia load by 80 to 90%. Improve existing drainage and storm water management systems at Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant. These drainage improvements are required to provide positive drainage for the proposed (future) Ammonia Removal Facility (3164.125). CIP 3164.125 and 3164.094 are being permitted and bid together as one project.

  • City of Marlin WTP Improvements, Gravity Filtration System

    Project Description: The project includes demolition of the existing membrane filtration units at the City of Marlin, Texas Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and replacement of these units with a gravity filtration system. Work will be conducted inside the filtration building at the WTP and include two (2) steel gravity filtration vessels, a steel walkway, a skid mounted filtrate pump station, piping modifications, electrical and controls. Improvements to the SCADA Systems and controls and replacement of the backwash pumps are included as allowance items.

  • Wilbarger Creek Municipal Utility District No. 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion to 1.5 MGD

    Project Description: The work consists of providing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and plant to construct the Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion to 1.5 MGD for the Wilbarger Creek Municipal Utility District No. 2 in Travis County, Texas. The work includes rehabilitation, improvements, expansion, and construction at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP).

    The work includes, but is not limited to: demolition and replacement of Lift Station pumps to increase the firm pumping capacity of the lift stations to 2,083 gpm peak two hour flow; installation of a new mechanical screen and washer compactor at the headworks; expansion of the existing peak shaving basin with course bubble aeration; addition of peak shaving pump; construction of Rapid Mix Basin No. 2 with RAS Airlifts; construction of Aeration Basin No. 3 with fine bubble aeration; construction of Clarifier Loading Basin No. 3; construction of Clarifier No. 3 with RAS, WAS, Scum, and Loading Basins; expansion of the Tertiary Filtration system; demolition and replacement of the existing Parshall Flume; Chemical Feed expansion; construction of a Dewatering Facility and press feed pump station; site, grading, drainage, pavement and detention/water quality improvements; and all associated piping, valves, fittings, protective coatings, power, instrumentation, controls, and programming.
